Seeking an opportunity to work in customer service or support

I have worked for a variety of companies over the years. In every case I worked to make a difference. My last supervisor commented that he appreciated my dedication. The words that describe me are DEDICATION and MENTOR.

2022 Advance Autpparts Counter sales. Assist customers with selection of parts and accessories. Use computer systems to identify parts and application for their particular vehicle. Provide guidance in selection of parts and accessories. Maintain cash drawer. Handle phone orders and inquiries. Inventory, restocking shelves, maintain orderly presentation of products on sales floor

2000-2021 Safety Services. I worked for Safety Services for 21 years. I started out with the warehouse, making changes to the layout to improve efficiency. I moved to IT, taking over implementing a new website. It had a number of features that allowed us to track most viewed items, sales by customers, and repetitive sales. Our ERP system was very much out of date, and we worked as a team to identify a new ERP system. We decided on SAP Business One. I led the implementation of this system, including purchasing all the servers and operating systems. Getting everything installed. I worked on the implementation of the software.

I trained customer service and field sales force on using the system. I also worked in customer service to field calls from customers.

There was a oil pipeline that burst near our facility in Kalamazoo. We became the go-to company for the various contractors working on the clean-up. We needed fall protection. I had a pilots license, and flew to DBI/Sala to get products from their facility in Minnesota, to ours, the same day. I flew to Pittsburg to get full face respirators for another customer. Right off the manufacturing line. This is dedication.

1996-1997 I worked for Chandler-Evans, hired as an Industrial Engineer, setting standards for manufacturing. Became certified in MTM. Very early on, I got tasked to rearrange the facility, shrinking it from 900,000 sq ft to 347,000 sq ft. I wrote all the bid specifications, for all the work that needed to be done. Shrinking the facility also meant shrinking the workforce, including me.

1997-1998 Faria Instruments. Hired as an Industrial Engineer. Promoted to Manager of Industrial Engineering. Set standards on all aspects of the manufacturing facility. Moved 3 production lines to a new remote facility. Including wiring, compressed air, A/C. Worked on line balancing, across the manufacturing facility. Set up our first website. Set up a local area network. Got an opportunity to move to Kalamazoo. Working with Tower Automotive.

1998-2000 Tower Automotive Hired as an Industrial Engineer. Set standards on manufacturing. Worked to reduce the set up time for stamping presses. Reduced set up time by 20%. In a stamping operation, set up is the key time consumer. Did training for forklift operations.
