We are pleased to offer you the position of General Service Technician with Pep Boys located in PBY IN Plainfield-06541 at an hourly rate of $11.00. Your employment is expected to begin on or around October 30, 2018. In this position, you will report to Robby Mink, store manager. As an overtime-eligible employee, you will be paid overtime at a rate of $16.50 per hour for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. If you are overtime eligible and your pay is not solely hourly-based, your overtime rate may fluctuate based on your hours and weekly earnings. In no even will you be paid less than minimum wage. You will receive your first bi-weekly paycheck on Friday, November 9, 2018. Your compensation is subject to deductions as required by law. Your hours will be Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. Your regular hours may change from time to time. We trust you will be flexible with regard to your hours as business needs dictate.

You will be eligible to participate in our Paid Time Off (PTO) program which provides team members with paid time away from work for vacation, personal time, personal or family illness, personal religious holidays, weather-related absences when the office has not been closed, or other personal reasons. Eligibility for PTO begins immediately after 60 days of continuous employment and is initially provided on an accrual basis credited weekly at a rate of 0.019231 hours per week (5 days annualized). PTO accruals may increase as years of service increase and will be subject to the policies of the Company including any cap on accruals, which policies may change from time to time.

You will become eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits effective the first of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. You become eligible for the Company’s 401(k) plan immediately upon hire and will be enrolled in the plan automatically within 30 days of employment at 4% of your eligible earnings. The plan generally provides a Company match of $.50 for each $1.00 of employee contributions up to a maximum of 6% of your base salary after 90 days of employment. We also offer the opportunity to participate in a transit program allowing for a before-tax deduction of commuting expenses. Additional information on the current benefit options will be provided to you under separate cover. This letter does not constitute an employment agreement or contract.
