Senior Business Analyst: I worked at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, in Worcester MA, as the subject matter expert for legacy applications from GE Healthcare (Centricity Cardio Workflow, Centricity DMS, INW, MacLab, Centricity Enterprise Archive, Centricity Imagevault), Medtronic (Paceart Optima 1.6) and Consensus (VascuPro). I was the project manager in the Ancillary IT department in phasing out some of these and the upgrade of other legacy applications in preparation for the cutover to Epic as the new EMR for the hospital and the use of Agfa PACS as the vendor neutral archive for both the radiology and cardiology departments. In my capacity, I created many deliverables such as on-call documentation (that is used for off-hour support), cutover plans, weekly status reports, statements of work, training plans, etc.

11/2014 – 3/2015 Innovative Consulting Group Bethlehem, PA

PACS Analyst: While commuting from New York City to Bethlehem I troubleshot workflow issues in the catheterization labs use of the GE Healthcare hemodynamic systems (MacLab/CardioLab) and the reporting systems (CA1000) at an ICG client, St Luke’s University Hospital Network. My duties also include helping in the integration of a new hospital in to the SLUHN system with testing of the GE Healthcare Centricity Cardiology DMS that is used in the catheterization labs at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Also helping with trouble tickets in the GE Centricity PACS and daily maintenance tasks in the ancillary division of the information technology department.

4/2013 – 7/2014 Medsys Group, LLC Atlanta, GA

Business Analyst: While commuting from New York City to Atlanta, I acted as the subject matter expert for the GE Healthcare MacLab/CardioLab hemodynamic system, GE Centricity Cardiology DMS and INW servers, used in the catheterization labs of Wellstar Health System, overseeing the integration of those GE systems with the new implementation of Epic Cupid throughout the WellStar’s four main hospitals (Kennestone, Douglasville, Cobb and Paulding) in north west Georgia. This involved, among other things, the creation of subject matter documentation, installation and configuration of the clients and servers, end-to-end testing of the client/server systems, workflow implementation/design and troubleshooting of end-user issues.

1/2006 – 8/2012 General Electric Healthcare New York, NY

Field Service Engineer: As a full-time employee of GE Healthcare I worked in the Invasive Cardiology division implementing their MacLab/CardioLab hemodynamic system. This is a Windows XP computer with specific add-ons that acquires hemodynamic data (ekg, blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation level, etc.) from a patient on the examination table during a catheterization procedure. It may have associated with it a Windows 2003 Server (called the INW server) that stores the individual studies from each of the networked clients and another one or two servers that interface with the hospital HIS (Centricity DMS). The INW server also acts as an Active Directory domain controller and DNS server for the acquisition clients, among other things.

1/2004 – 12/2005 Darwin Partners New York, NY

Network Administrator: Contracting for GE Healthcare I installed, configured and maintained the GE Centricity Enterprise PACS solution for both the Cardiology and Radiology departments throughout the North Shore-LIJ Health System in Long Island, NY. Among other things this involved the racking and configuring of numerous servers from HP, Sun, Dell and IBM that are running Sun Solaris, MS Windows Server 2000 and Windows 2003 Server, that are used in production and test environments. I also installed and configured various clients used to send to and retrieve from the PACS database and used for diagnosis by doctors and technicians in the above departments. Some of the specific GE client solutions that I have experience with include but are not limited to CA1000, RA600, RA1000, RA600 Digital Hard Copy, RA600 Film Digitizer, AW Suite, AW Workstation 4.3. On the server side I have installed & configured the ISU & IV (both running Solaris 2.6), H.S.A (used as a repository for GE Field Engineers running Windows 2000 Professional), DAS & LOTS (running Solaris 2.6), Centricity Web (running Windows 2000 Server), EA cluster (running Windows 2000 AS MSCS edition), DMS (database (oracle 8.15 & SQL server 2000) and I/O server running Windows 2000 Server).

Network Administrator: Designed and installed upgrade to a fifty node LAN which included a NetGear FVS318 firewall and Symatec content filtering and anti-virus gateway solution – over a broadband Internet connection provided by Verizon, on time and on budget for a Catholic school. I Increased security and reliability for Base One in-house LAN by installing NetGear FVS318 firewall, Symantec Anti-virus, anti-spyware software (Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-aware) and backup using Retrospect 5.0 to central network share. Network Administrator: I administered LAN consisting of 30 Windows 2000 Advanced Servers, 15 Windows 2000 Professional workstations, five UNIX servers (Solaris 2.6, 2.7 & Redhat Linux 6.1) & an Apple G3 running OS/9.1. At Javu my duties included but were not limited to:

Administer Win NT 4.0 domain used for all Windows servers and clients.

Specify and manage 2 6U passive backplane rackmount units, running four dual Pentium III, 800 MHz single board computers each. They were used for software development and benchmarking.

Each SBC ran W2KAS and was a member of a W2K 2000 Active Directory tree.

Installation and administering of several SQL Server 7.0 and 2000 databases that are used for MS Project Central and some of our partner products, respectively.

Network moves, adds and changes.

Distribution and preliminary QA of all client and server software builds.

Maintenance of a CVS program store running on a Solaris 2.6 SPARC clone.

Workstation and server backups using NTBACKUP to a UNIX network share created via SAMBA that would then be backed up using BRU onto a tape drive.

2/1999 – 10/2000 Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center Bronx, NY

Network Project Manager: Managed and participated in the installation of 1500 Windows NT 4.0 Workstations and 30 Windows NT 4.0 servers during and after complete network upgrade. I assisted outside consultants in developing standard system images, using Kixtart technology that were deployed to workstations via Imagecast. The servers consisted of Compaq Proliant 3000 & 6000, as well as, Dell PowerEdge rack-mounted servers running Win NT 4.0 Server, one Tandem Himalaya used for medical records and one DEC Alpha 8100 running Digital UNIX used for back-office processing. The workstations consisted of Gateway E-series workstations in the back offices & Gateway Profiles (all-in-one units) at the Nursing stations. Veritas Backup Exec and CA Arcserve were used for server and database backups.

System Administrator: Assisted the CTO in managing the existing Novell NetWare 3.x and 4.x servers. These servers ran applications for various departments on isolated LANs throughout the hospital complex. My duties included but were not limited to:

Troubleshooting the existing Windows 95 clients connected to the existing Novell Netware servers.

Manage the replacement of the existing LAN with a 100Mbps, switched LAN that used 3Com equipment.

Install 3Com WAN switches that are connected to a dark fiber ring from Verizon that is used to interconnect the three hospitals that make up the Our Lady of Mercy Medical complex.

Managed a three-man IS team that that would later install the server and workstation for the network upgrade.

Implementation Consultant: Worked with their flagship enterprise management software, Unicenter TNG. I have installed it on Windows NT 4.0 and UNIX (HP UX 11 & Solaris 2.5) servers at client sites. Unicenter is a modular, distributed network management program that consists of the core product and many options that cover a wide range of enterprise network management solutions. I concentrated on the help desk, security and storage modules.

2/1997 - 5/1998 Goldman Sachs & Co New York, NY

Senior LAN Technician: While working in the Firmwide User Support Group we offered:

1st and 2nd level phone support to over 1000 Sun Solaris, Sun O/S, Windows NT 4.0 & 3.51 and Windows 95 & 3.1 clients.

Install PCs on the LAN- create NetWare 3.12 and Windows 3.51 user accounts, install system and application software for developers (partitioning a 1GB hard drive, installing OS/2 Boot Manager, OS/2 2.11, WFW 3.11, Windows NT 3.51 Workstation and a suite of Windows and OS/2 programming, productivity and connectivity applications), attach PC to the LAN.
