Synthetic studies towards Phorbhaside A: Developed a short and efficient asymmetric synthetic route for the construction of C1-C9 fragment (Key THP core) by using Crimmins aldol strategy and developed highly accessible route for the synthesis of glycoside moiety starting from L-rhamnose.

Total synthesis of Aspinolide B: Developed an efficient and accessible route for the synthesis of Aspinolide B from a commercially cheap chiralpool starting material D-mannitol by using Grubbs RCM as a key synthetic reaction.

Completed total synthesis of -Microcarpalide: Synthesized an anti-microfilament disrupting agent from a commercially cheap chiralpool starting material D-mannitol by using Grubbs RCM as a key step.

Conformational studies of peptides containing cis-3-hydroxy proline.
