I am writing for consideration for Mechanical lanner position with your company.

-NWR Nov 2021 – Sept 2022 Turnaround Planner for their 1st Major ($180 Million) turnaround. Performed added work planning during outage.

-Turnaround Planner/Field Coordinator with Shell Canada at the Scotford facility since Oct 2005 thru Aug 2017, and my previous 18 years experience at Nova Chemicals Joffre facility as a pipe fitter, Maintenance/TA Coordinator and Planner\Scheduler make me an ideal candidate for this position. I have, and will continue to consider safety and schedule my priorities at work as well as home. I have worked within the business of large projects and budgets and consider the business aspect of projects of upmost importance.

I have worked with Primavera (P6) and SAP as well as Shell computer programs and quickly adapt to new software systems.

My responsibilities include process and maintenance, blueprint and CAD reading, development of maintenance safe work practices, development of job procedures, planning & scheduling of daily work activities and direction of all daily and shutdown maintenance functions, management and coordination of a team of Planners as well as trades people and the execution of major turnaround events in a variety of roles.

EG: fixed bed Catalyst change out, tubular reactor (MEG) Catalyst change out, as well as Styrene reactor catalyst change out and screen repairs, compressor change outs and overhauls. I have fulfilled the duties as overall TA Coordinator overseeing all the field coordinators on numerous turnarounds as well as day to day maintenance.

In addition to a high school diploma, I am a certified 4th class power engineer, journeyman pipe fitter/steam fitter, industrial firefighter level III and was a member of Nova Chemicals emergency response team since for 16yrs. While at Nova Chemicals, I qualified in the feed prep area as an operator for my own personal experience. I performed numerous turnarounds in the planner and Coordinator roles at all of Nova Chemicals Joffre facility. This included PE1 (Low linear and High density polyethylene plants? All 3 of the Ethylene Crackers as well.

Volunteer work comprised of Josephburg chicken dinner, Habitat for humanity, United Way and Corporate Challenge representative. Part of a group that built a 30th anniversary Shell parade float for Shell Canada, winning 1st place in Fort Saskatchewan Canada Day parade and 1st place in Edmonton K-Days parade. Participated in the shell fuel give away promotion.

I am very interested in learning new and challenging duties. I have gone 29yrs without a recordable injury. Safety is of the up most importance in all of my job plans as well as the execution of the tasks. I work well in a team environment as well as on my own.
