Slim Chickens

November 2022 to March 2023

I was one of the Shift Managers for Slim Chickens and loved my job. I loved working with the public; I’m a people pleaser at heart. My job consisted of working with a full crew and time management was a must. I ran all positions, prep, opening and closing paperwork as well and bank balancing and deposits. I also did some PR for the company. I left the job due to a difference of opinion with the General Manager. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Caregiver

Acumen/Texas Health and Human Services

November 2020 to September 2022

I was the caregiver for my handicapped step daughter. I was with her most of the day and night and she required specific help with several things. The following are what I would do for her on a daily basis: Give medicine in the morning, feed her breakfast, help dress her for the day, brush her hair and teeth and get her lunch ready for the day and then get her off to her Workshop that she went to for a few hours a day. We would color, play cards and other activities once she got home in the afternoon. Then I would get her dinner ready, shower her, help with her pajamas and give night medicine, then bedtime. I also would buy her groceries, take her shopping and help her with her laundry. I absolutely loved doing these things with and for her, but the circumstances have changed with her father and I and I will be getting back out into the work field.

Administrative Assistant

City of Amarillo Street Department

July 2019 to October 2020

I was responsible for entering all data in changes needing to be made to all streets in Amarillo. I answered calls about road hazards and would direct them to the correct department head for whatever the problem may be. I kept up with all insurance files for any third party contractor that we used. All data was placed in spreadsheets along with putting the information into CAD, to make information easier for the employees to understand what needed to be done each day. I was learning to put in time sheets for the Street Department crew, as well. I loved my job and the people I worked with but had to quit to take care of my mother before she passed in December 2020.

Receptionist/Concierge

Street Volkswagen Amarillo, Texas

July 2018 to July 2019

I was the day receptionist doing the following: Scanning prior days service invoices, checking all conference areas and making sure they are clean and stocked and also opening up the multiline phone system. My job mainly was customer service, which made it easy to love my job because I love people and have excellent communication skills. I would also take customer information and make tags for the individuals’ new vehicle. I was responsible for making calls to new buyers and letting them know that their plates and tags were ready. I enjoyed my job very much but I really was looking for something with more responsibility and maybe the opportunity to move up in a company. Assistant Editor
