EDUCATION
JUNE 2018
ASSOCIATES DEGREE NURSE, Fortis Institute
This institution elevated the level of nursing knowledge from novice to an intermediate tier of nursing. A deeper exposure to geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations allowed for a more critical view of these areas and fostered an advanced level of critical thinking. A vast number of medications and classes of drugs intensified the previous nursing understanding and increased the knowledge base to prepare for a more advanced role of nursing to include management, and supervisory roles as well offering more permissions than that of prior education as a licensed practical nurse.
APRIL 2013
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE, tENNESSEE tECHNOLOGY CENTER @NASHVILLE
Serving as a bridge between a graduate degree in law studies and initial nursing knowledge, this institution provided the foundational nursing practice. Introduced gerontological, obstetrical, and pediatric patients and participated in respective rotations at several hospital, assisted living, psychiatric and outpatient settings as a foundation in nursing care.
DECEMBER 2008
MASTER OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION, MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY
A criminal justice master's degree was helpful for me because I wanted to make a career shift or gain niche expertise, analyze criminal behavior, apply principles of leadership in organizational settings, learn theories of social control, and gain an informed perspective of law enforcement, the judicial system, and corrections. For completion of my degree, I authored a master’s thesis and it is currently published.
MAY 2005
CRIMINAL JUSTICE with minors in PSYCHOLOGY and SOCIOLOGY, TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY
With more of a focus in pre-law education, I began my general studies at this university in Nashville, Tennessee with the tenacity of helping to defend individuals from the potential disparities in the criminal justice system that are ever so prevalent. I obtained a dual minor in the studies of psychology and sociology and went on to further my degree.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
For my graduate degree, I published a thesis on the psychological effects of death row on inmates while designing my own Likert scale to be used as precedent. I graduated Cum Laude from Tennessee State University and went on to pursue my Master’s at Middle Tennessee State University, and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honors society (the oldest and most selective honor society dedicated to the recognition and promotion and academic excellence in all fields of higher education). I self-fund community service efforts for adults in nursing homes annually and take great pride in caring for those who are not able to care for themselves. I serve as an ex officio director of SID (Social Interaction Development Education Centers). I love to teach diet and exercise to patients with co-morbidities and am currently working on a board certification in vascular access with the ANCC. I am also PICC certified.
