November 2018 to November 2023

As a Plant Operator 3 for the City of Oklahoma City, I worked at the Draper Water Treatment Plant. I was the Chief Operator and was in charge of the treatment processes, monitoring the Plant, making changes to both flow and treatment. Utilized SCADA for monitoring, controlling and making automated changes to treatment processes. Performed lab tests and recorded values by hand and in computer, utilizing HACH Wims. Filled out Daily Operation Reports and other logs . Backwashed filters, performed preventive maintenance on analyzers, and ran belt filter presses for sludge. Physically performed rounds, monitoring and recording chemical feeds and equipment throughout the Plant. Rotated distribution pumps daily from SCADA.Created Corrective Maintenance work orders to mechanics and electricians when necessary. Utilized SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel.

While working for the City of Nichols Hills, I briefly worked in Street Maintenance, there I learned how to lay asphalt, pour concrete, seal cracks with tar and operate many various tools and equipment. After gaining skills operating a backhoe and helping Line Maintenance perform water and sewer line repairs, I applied to become the Crew Chief over Line Maintenance and was awarded the position. As a Crew Chief I was responsible for supervising,coordinating and performing water and sewer line repairs along with other tasks, such as watermain taps, new service and water meter installations. I also responded to after hours emergencies such as watermain breaks and sewer stoppages, while adhering to local and Federal laws, such as calling in utility line locates and reporting sewage bypasses to the Department of Environmental Quality.
