This is my current job I’ve had for many years it was my first job. I nanny kids as a side job usually when I am off work or on my days off I like to get extra money and I do this. It’s probably one of the easiest jobs because I love kids and I literally grew up taking care of my nephews so to me it was an easy job since the start. I usually bathe, cook, play, and try to teach the kids I work with. I make sure we follow our hours of feeding, bathing, learning time, and play time just to make sure I have them active doing something through out the day and for them to not be bored, this helps a lot since most of the times kids get frustrated when not following a schedule and even helps me by keeping track of what they are doing, if they’re feeding good or bad and what new things they’ve learned. Also, the families I help out are always very nice with me and have enough trust to leave their kids with me for hours and I like that since it helps me know that I am doing a good job.

In this job I went in as a waitress, would greet customers at the door, take orders, and answer phone calls. I would also, clean tables, sweep and mop, restocked fridges, and kept the restaurant in good conditions at all times so that customers could have a good experience while eating. After a few months there they trained me to cashier and I learned how to close and open box by myself and how to waitress and cashier at the same time.

I started here as a sender for material, they would send me to pick up material like paint gallons, stucco, sheetrock, wood, etc. and load it to the truck and then unload it at the place we where working on. As I was there I started learning how to paint and how to trim with paint brushes, use rolls properly, spray paint cabinets, fences, and doors, and how to stain wood. They also showed me how to prepare a house to get painted, cover floors and windows and talk with customers about their house projects.

My job here was as a cashier, my duties where to keep the store clean, greet customers and help them out if they needed to find something in the store, sweep and mop, keep store presentable and well stocked, change prices, move isles around and do inventory. Since my manager liked that I was fast at stocking while cashiering, she started sending me to the storage to help my co-workers unload the truck and restock the store, she would also send me to other stores to help them out and eventually the stores would ask for me since I was fast at stocking. Luckily, I became great at what I was doing and my manager repositioned me as an assistant manager, my roles where kind of the same just now I would tell my co-workers what we where doing during the day and count the box after every shift.

In this job I did many things like verify insurances, confirm and make appointments, help customers out when choosing glasses, do estimates on glasses, help out doing Rx, and many more things. I learned how to deal with customers on a daily basis, and how to calm them down when upset and help them figure out what specifically is what they are looking for. I learned many things since I was in this job and this will be my third job in customer service so I got the hang of it pretty quickly and learned many new things.
