Monitor breakdown and maintenance developments and makes recommendations for change or modifications of any part of schedules or procedures and ensure that work is carried out with a minimum of disruption to operating activities.

Plan work schedules according to malfunctions or breakdowns, establishes work priorities in consultation with operations personnel, and determine requirements in advance for tools, spare parts, and manpower.

Review and update on regular basis, stocks of spare parts, tools, and materials, forward requisitions to material planning engineers and follow up on all materials and spare parts requisitions.

Provide technical advice on electrical power and distribution systems; including suggesting modifications to systems

(MOC) and assisting in the design of new installations as required.

Prepare and presents detailed reports on the causes of major breakdowns in the electrical plant, and submit recommendations for the prevention of similar occurrences.

Participate in the preparation and review of the CAPEX budget for the plant area under direct responsibility.

Participate in reviewing / engineering & technical evaluation of new spare parts, equipment, documents of new proposed projects, follow-up implementation, and commissioning.

Actively participate in the MOC review committee & its implementation, and RCA investigation.

Liaising with Electrical OEMs/EPCs on technical/warranty issues and providing inputs for developing Electrical Service contracts & Technical scope of works.

Participate in SAT - Site Acceptance Tests, liaise with equipment vendors to solve, and repair problems, upgrade older equipment, to replace obsolete items.

Inspect final deliverables in projects and services and issue punch lists, and acceptance certificates – accordingly.

Participate in coaching and guiding local employees of supervisors and electricians and ensure that all performance criteria job qualifications are covered and attend assessment panels, gap analysis sessions, Wrench Analysis, Check sheet auditing, and ways for mitigation / corrective actions.
