Claims Adjuster

I was originally hired as a customer service agent. After 6 months at this position was offered an opportunity to take the 620 adjuster license exam. After passing the exam I started my role as a claims adjuster. My first role as a claims adjuster involved handling claims that involved simple property losses that contained no coverage concerns and required minimum investigation. I quickly excelled in this role and moved from an ACT 1 to an ACT 2. The ACT 2 role involved a similar base of claims with a higher threshold of expense. After 6 months in this role I had the opportunity to apply for the PD1 role. This was a larger jump in responsibility as this role included claims that involved coverage concerns along with an increase in allocated expense. I was selected for the role and excelled in this role. I was placed on the CAT team during the summer of 2017 where a group of adjuster handled the named storms that caused damage. After the company merger with GEICO the current role of PD1,PD2,PD3 got merged with GEICO and the role became a PCU role. My current role with GEICO is in the Theft and Total Loss Department and it is considered a unique role occupied by the most experience adjuster in which there are 6 of us. I am currently at the highest level of property adjusting within the current set up. I have achieved multiple accomplishments while working at BoatUS/GEICO Marine. I was awarded the Bronze Admiral Circle in 2017, the Silver Admiral Circle and the most recent 2019 Gold Admiral Circle reward. These were selected every year based on metric scores. I received a cruise for the most recent 2019 Admiral Circle award
