It is our pleasure to introduce Thomas Pomeroy.

Thomas has extensive experience working in the food service industry. He is a very hard worker and is eligible to receive a Wage Subsidy from Service Canada through the Opportunities Fund Program. The Opportunities Fund Wage Subsidy program assists employers in hiring eligible new employees or promote current employees to create inclusive and accessible work environments for employees with disabilities. Thomas could be eligible for Professional Development Courses to help with knowledge and skills specific to your business. Eligible employers can be reimbursed between $10 to $15 per hour of a participant’s gross wages for a negotiated period which may be up to a duration of 6 months or more. Workplace accommodation needs for persons with disabilities including tools, short-term training and work gear may also be reimbursed. Employer Eligibility:

Registered business with Canada Revenue Agency (GST#)

WorkSafe BC coverage; Cover the MERCs (Mandatory Employment Related Costs)

Standard payroll procedures including CPP, EI and CRA deductions Please note: Individuals must not begin work prior to the subsidy being put in place. It is important that the job offers the likelihood of on-going long-term employment upon completion of the Wage Subsidy. The Wage Subsidy process can often take less than 5 days to complete as paperwork for the OPPS Fund Wage Subsidy is straightforward and minimal.
