Operations Manager, HIMS & Member Experience 09/2020 to Current Kaiser Permanente – Hyattsville, MD

Provide overall day to day management and oversight of high volume release of medical information operations including forms completion, record delivery and retrieval, assembly, data collection, regulatory compliance, records retention, maintenance, destruction, and reporting. Ensure the delivery of high-quality and consistent release of information services by establishing and executing robust quality assurance activities. Manage 32 front-line personnel overseeing the recruitment, training, development, coaching, and counseling processes.

Ensure optimal staff utilization to meet both workload demands and staffing needs while consistently meeting service level expectations.

Develop and implement policies and procedures, operations, and auto-mated systems providing medical information to members, internal departments physicians and 3rd party requestors.

Monitor provider compliance with the overall forms completion process. Develop appropriate action plans with clinical leadership to improve turnaround time as needed. Investigate budget overages and errors in reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial objectives.
