Researcher: September 2022 – Present

• Data science & analysis; statistical analysis of large datasets, including U.S. Census, DOL, and OIRA datasets using STATA, R, and Python.

• Research on labor trends, CUNY retention and enrollment trends, and the impact of the COVID-19 crisis with Dr. Paul Attewell. Journal publication pending.

• Research on national college retention trends, and the socioeconomic inequities therein. Journal publication pending.

• Curating, cleaning, & maintaining all project datasets, including large and sensitive datasets.

• Liaise between PI and state & federal institutions to find and access data not yet publicly available.

• Anticipate future research and collaboratively explore innovative research opportunities based on present data and findings.

The Center for Advanced Study in Education (CASE)

Research Assistant: August 2017 – September 2023

• Lead CASE’s coding and analysis of time-sensitive data to create and refine scientifically approved effective teaching practices within and across over a dozen funded ongoing projects.

• Manage a team of five employees, maintain files on CASE’s projects, and develop and give trainings in coding, statistics, and interpersonal skills to support 3 new team members.

• Liaise between company representatives, educators, and administrators to conduct interviews, answer stakeholders’ questions, and report on the progress of the team.

• Data collection and analysis for an audit of undergraduate research throughout CUNY to construct a centralized database of research opportunities across all CUNY campuses.

CUNY Hunter College Offices of Assessment & Institutional Review College Assistant: October 2019 – June 2020; August 2021 – Present

• Simultaneous assistant to the directors of both departments.

• Code and analyze campus- and CUNY-wide data for institutional review using R and Tableau.

• Data visualization and map generation.

• Compile and produce a central database of learning outcomes for all programs at Hunter College.

• Construction and distribution of surveys via the Qualtrics platform.

• Facilitate workshops for faculty and staff, including hosting virtual meetings.

• Analyze statistical data, interpret modeled EEG recordings, including Fourier Analysis. These models were necessary for specialists to study the effects of various visual stimuli on human perception of edges, shades, and colors.

• Administer EEG tests; provide attentive care to participants to ensure comfort while operating sensitive and restrictive equipment.

• Train new recruits to operate and care for sensitive equipment, troubleshoot with lab hardware and software, and follow strict IRB protocols.

Accounts Manager & Laborer: Spring 2010 – Fall 2021

• Negotiate prices with vendors, in-person and over the phone, and manage funds to repair and update mechanical equipment to minimize daily expenses.

• Organize invoices for 100+ clients, from private homes to commercial conglomerates like JFK Airport, and maintain regular communication to ensure timely payment for services rendered.

• Budget business expenditures (i.e., materials lists, transportation costs) and resolve backlogged financial discrepancies during the off-season.
