Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing thein-service education programs.

Coordinate with department supervisors in obtaining and scheduling speakers to present in-service training programs; ensure content is current and reflects current standards.

Ensure that in-service training classrooms or areas are properly prepared in advance of the scheduled training session; assemble sign-in sheets, continuing education unit (CEU)tracking logs, informational packets and post-training evaluation tools.

Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.

Develop, direct and schedule orientation programs for newly hired personnel.

Assist licensed nursing personnel (i.e., registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs)and Nurse Aides) in obtaining CEUs to keep their license current in accordance with state law.
