9 West has also been recognised by the Oscars (Outstanding care and research wards from the national Trust) and has been awarded for their stroke Support group and nursing ward rounds which were developed within the stroke service for Imperial healthcare college.In 2018 9 south was awarded the learning environment of the year award. In September (2019) of this year 9 South was awarded the Patient experience award for the best performing ward trust-wide and the best performing ward in the medicine division.

At St John’s and St Elizabeth I have recently being assigned the responsibility of managing new staff and students and the Stroke lead on the ward.
