In May 2018 I was asked to take over the receiving department in order to bring better organization, teamwork and accountability to the group after having successfully developed these attributes with my second shift team. We developed a strong team with high standards for their work and their work environment. I worked with my team to restructure warehouse locations to maximize space and increase efficiency for receiving and putting away materials. The department became the “gold standard” for the branch as well as the district. I was also asked to travel to other branches who needed help optimizing their departments and training new staff for company conversions. Responsibilities include opening the facility each morning, printing paperwork for morning Distribution Center Truck, unloading, staging and scanning all inbound product. Establishing the daily workflow and put away priorities for the department. Assist in unloading FTL and LTL shipments, verifying shipment accuracy and looking for damages. Processing the inbound paperwork and scanning/receiving all materials. Perform daily audits for inventory accuracy (cycle counts) as well as safety analysis. Hired team for the implementation of a new second shift. Trained staff and implemented new strategies and procedures to optimize accuracy and efficiency. Supervised and assisted the picking and preparation of daily LTL shipments, including creating all paperwork (BOL’s) and loading pallets. Created, executed and batched orders for morning truck deliveries, maximizing truck capacity and delivery locations to ensure on time deliveries to customers. Audited customer orders before packing and checked contents of each truck against load sheets to make sure orders were accurate and trucks were loaded in proper order and all necessary tools/equipment were on each truck. Established a hire standard of safety and cleaning procedures.

Started out working in the warehouse pulling and packing orders and assisting with shipping and receiving. The North Charleston branch did not have a website or any online marketing platform. I built a new web page, including setting up photo studio and taking all of the product photos and processing/editing them in Adobe Suite programs. I initiated an online email marketing program that crated a major increase in our online sales and expanded our customer base. I set up a local network and the location and moved the invoicing and accounting online using Quickbooks. I also oversaw the setup of large scale trade shows for our sister company (A.S. Shows), including tents, electric, ATM's, press guides, permits, security and more.
