I have also had an opportunity to go and expand the company in various countries, which have opened and sharpen my skills within the field of hospitality and working with different cultures as well as living in different environments

I have always strive to offer my best at all times to make sure we meet the required company standards and procedures, key is to work hand in hand with the employers to improve the business

My first strength was proven when we opened a branch in cape town by the sea side ( camps bay ) as they moved me from being just a senior barista to be the manager of the shop, I did that to my utmost ability .

That’s when the first shop in UK was opening the company chose me to go and manage the store over there.

I found it very difficult to do first time in different country with tough competition, but likewise I told myself and the team that nothing is impossible guys we can do this as a team .

While I was there I also had the opportunity to work with Lola’s cup cake in which I had to train their staff on customer service, coffee making, handling of cash etc

I have continued excelling and providing the exceptional customer service as well as training all new employees, franchises and branch managers .

Main activities and responsibilities

While travelling to these countries as a training manager, I ensured that the below are met .

Stock controls and inventories

Up selling and maximizing customer’s satisfaction

How to drive sales

Placing of orders and recording of all purchases into the system

Checking all the specs of the shop a s it is newly opened

How to follow recipes in order to deliver consistent drink or food quality

Making sure all staff understands the menu recipes for a smooth operation

How to deal with issues on a daily basis and reporting to the rightful person

Make sure the guys enjoy and love what they do in order to build customer satisfaction and enjoyment environment

I have also travelled around within the country (South Africa) opening new stores and training the team on various sections, to ensure standards are followed at all times

In this I would work hand in hand with either the franchise or store manager to enforce the right thing in place at the same time taking notes to report to the head office or head of operations, if I found anything wrong or there is something that we have to give support

For example if the store has lots of newly employed staffs I would recommend the manager or franchise to send them to our training center which they will be trained and issued with certificates, after that I will follow up after a week of their return to stores to ensure they are implementing whatever they were trained on
