General Labor Foreman

Daily Task's

-First thing in the early morning at 6 AM I would go up to the top of the building and walk down throughout the entire building to see what floors would need priority cleaning first before any other floors. I would also be on the lookout for any visible safety precautions so that I, my crew & any other trades can work in a safe worksite. I would also be on the lookout to ensure all exgresses are accessible & clear of any work tools/supplies or garbage. I would also ensure all fire extinguishers are placed where they belong. I would also list any areas of work that need to be cleared to make room for any deliveries throughout the day. My walk through the entire building would roughly take me about 30-45mins. After my walkthrough, I would be in the laborer shanty roughly at 6:45 AM to greet my crew and give them their daily assignments for the beginning of the day, as well as give them a quick safety talk on being safe through the work day. I would usually have run a labor crew of anywhere between 10 & 15 laborers, but that sometimes changed depending on the workload for the day/week. Throughout the day, I would always keep in contact with the general super/super to see if any special assignments need to be taken care of throughout the day that my laborers are experienced in and capable of completing the task 100%. I would also do/help to complete any of the tasks I am experienced in and capable of achieving by myself or alongside a co-worker. I would also help with deliveries for different trades throughout the day. The reason I helped with the deliveries is cause I am experienced in driving a forklift; therefore, I was able to help any trades with any big deliveries that needed a forklift driver to help them unload their delivery. I myself & my labor crew would also almost do a dump out of garbage every day or every other day depending on how big of a load of garbage we have to dump out into a truck. I always made sure that the building had enough empty metal dumpsters to ensure cleanup throughout the entire day. I would perform many tasks by myself on the job site. Examples are demolition, mixing/laying down concrete, cutting holes in sheetrock walls/wood walls, also cutting out holes through concrete walls/floors, putting up safety nets/barricades etc, etc. I performed any task that I knew I was capable of doing/completing correctly. I have experience with most hand tools and most battery/wired-operated electric power tools.
