IAYT- International Association of Yoga Therapists Reference Letter

September 27, 2022

To Whom it may concern,

It gives me great pleasure to provide this reference letter for Heather Barlow, who is applying for a position with your company. I first met Heather in 2019, as a coworker in the drug and alcohol and mental health field and later became her supervisor. Heather ran the community Intensive Outpatient Program for the drug and alcohol department, as she educated the group setting in mental health and addiction recovery. In addition, to the typical group setting, Heather was faced with an enormous task of running the program during the hardest times of our world, during the Covid shut down. This meant she needed to run the program virtually with an extremely difficult clientele and manage the social emotional nuances that typically come with this population, in addition to the chaotic circumstances of drug and alcohol and mental health while our nation was in crisis. Heather’s experience consisted of psychosocial education in an intense group setting with three days a week of 3-hour sessions in addition to weekly individual sessions to support the clients well-being. Heather worked with outside agencies, community partners, legal team (such as but not limited to judges, probation and parole officers, family members, medical staff etc.). I believe Heather is more than capable of teaching an intense and typical population while maintaining the documentation that is necessary to perform these tasks. Heather’s expertise, strong work ethic, and transferable skills will allow her to succeed in any position that aligns with her talents and giftings. If you’d like me to clarify anything for you or if you have any question concerning this recommendation, kindly feel free to contact through my email at ad39ld@r.postjobfree.com or feel free to contact me at 440-***-****. Sincerely,

Audra Popik, LPCC, LICDC, LSW, MD
