Polypropylene Console Supervisor; Baytown, TX. 1987 – May 30 2021

oResponsibilities & Accomplishments:

Safe and profitable operation of multiple, multifaceted Polypropylene production plants. Responsible for process and personnel safety, environmental compliance, unit production and product quality.

Direct supervisor over ExxonMobil Process Technicians and Contract Employees during daily operations. Oversee work activities and ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures as required in a large-scale chemical and mechanical manufacturing environment.

Duties include interfacing daily with every discipline, ie. Technical, Mechanical, Lab, Projects, Work Planning and Prioritization including Logistics, Training, and development of team members.

Well-practiced in effective Safety Programs and Practices which have resulted in 35+ years of injury-free employment for self and those under my direct supervision. Some of these systems are Hazard Recognition, Control-of-Defeat and Energy Isolation. Haz-Op Review Process, and Loss Prevention.

During career have been directly involved with operational execution of virtually every project, downtime and turn-around from “cat-out” to restart of the plant, including commissioning of newly installed equipment.

Proficient with Process Controls, i.e., TDC3000 operating controls and other auxiliary systems to track quality, work orders, and daily production reports,

oBeirut, Lebanon: Multi-National Peacekeeping Force tasked with overseeing and enforcing a ceasefire between the PLO and Israel. This included preventing terrorist attacks.

oGuam: USMC Security Guard. Stationed at NAV Magazine Base as a member of security forces. Received upper-level government security clearance required for guarding special weapons.
