PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

TEIJIN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLIGIES, North Baltimore OH. 2021 – FEB 2024 Teijin Automotive technologies is a leader in composite materials enhancing vehicle safety and structural performance via the automotive industry as well as the marine sector, with the concept of increasing performance and structural integrity of its products in the marine and automotive industry. Production Supervisor

As a production supervisor within the Teijin automotive industry at the Nort Baltimore plant, supervisory duties and responsibilities were expansive. In the absence of a higher direct report, and duties listed included but were not limited to the following. Supervisors were to conduct real time production report at the end of shift to senior management including the plant manager.

• Maintaining consistent manning requirements for manning as per the BWS requirements.

• Scheduling and adjustments as per production requirements to ensure an efficient and accurate labor efficiency proportionate ratio ensuring the highest amount of labor efficiency consistent with first time yield.

• In the absence of a shift production manager, I was required to submit manning requirements including direct and indirect labor sufficient to ensure the prevention of over manning, in both direct and indirect labor. This was subsequently a task required by an area manager, superintendent as directed. In the absence of senior management on the shift it was my obligation to ensure accurate manning was submitted ensuring manning was available.

2

• Ensuring customer quality concerns were met, in addition to training of team leaders and team members ensuring the best customer quality was sent to the customer.

• Monitoring the scrap, and production downtime metrics per shift was required. When production downtime, defective materials, and finished goods that were out of specification required an escalation process. This required excellent communication skills with all management within the plant across all shifts. Supervisors put action plans into place, and quarantined suspect goods, thus preventing shipment to the customer.

• Safety and safety audits were conducted daily and reported bi-weekly. Ensuring that processes were followed identifying deficiencies and corrective measures providing the documentation necessary to provide the quality products being shipped to customers.

• All aspects of production, quality, safety, employee morale, production metrics, and administrative duties assigned as a production supervisor. These additional duties were prepared for submission to senior plant management. In the absence of a shift superintendent/shift production manager requiring the supervisors fulfill and report production metrics in a timely manner.

• Compliance with hourly team members and the rules and regulations of the union were understood and complied with paralleled with the company’s negotiated concessions.

• The production supervisor’s responsibilities were expansive, requiring acute attention to detail from a production standard. This was expected of a production supervisor to ensure all requirements were met even in the absence of a shift area manager, superintendent. These challenges were met, even when the shift was short relative to staffing. Everything was required to be covered even if there were no team leaders, tow-motor drivers, superintendents, or site managers all fell under the responsibilities of the on-shift production supervisor. This challenge was often overcome by the production metrics on my shifts. Being resourceful and flexible led to my team’s success. I had to prioritize production needs reviewing and comprehensively implement changes to the production plan as required. This is imperative that production supervisors sustain on time delivery.

• Leadership is empowering team members to not only be informed as to production needs and necessities, the supervisors, and team leaders need to also be informed to ensure production requirements were met. Including team members and team leaders, information pertinent to production needs is required. Understanding what was required. Additionally, many took ownership and pride in the production process furthering teammate engagement, and if necessary, coaching or progressive disciplinary action.

• Completed the following internal required training programs while at Teijin Automotive.

• Train the Trainer program.

• Job Relations training program.

• LEGG-UP supervisor and Management 6-week training program.

• Certified tow-motor license, internal certification. 3
