ECF Engineering Consultants, West Palm Beach, FL April 2019 – April 2023 Project Manager/Coordinator/Scrum Master

Coordinated and managed 22 projects with a combined budget of $9,500,000.

• Managed all phases of the project life cycles including initiation, planning, execution, budgeting, and monitoring and controlling by leveraging Agile methodology for projects ranging from $50,000 to $5,000,000. Sample projects:

o Engineering, design, and build projects for substation automation platforms for transmission and distribution substations for solar farm and gas storage facilities. This project included networking substation IEDs for SCADA, local annunciation, local Distributed Control System, protection functions, and data acquisition local/remote to establish a fully operational smart facility using state-of-the-art technology. o Managed a team of 6 Construction Leads who supported Substation Projects in tasks such as Minor Site Development including clearing; trenching; installation of poured & pre-cast foundations; and installation of fencing and landscaping. Conduit; Raceway; Junction Box and associated support installation. Cable and fiber pulling, testing, and terminating. Installation of equipment grounding. Installation of both low and high-voltage equipment. Basic Rigging and Lift Plan development.

• Developed, maintained, managed, and reported data analysis for over 120 projects and tasks bi-weekly, resulting in over $500,000 identified on projects as not yet invoiced, leading to the recoupment of revenue to the company.

• Served as Scrum Master for multiple teams utilizing the framework including Scrum ceremonies to establish and coach Scrum theory to multiple project teams, removing and preventing impediments to team progress while helping team members become self-organized and productive, thus increasing the value and quality of our work.

• Accountable for establishing Agile methodology and Scrum framework. Coached Scrum teams that created and delivered updated interdepartmental policies and procedures which met stakeholder expectations and increased employee productivity by an average of 2.5 hours per employee per week, business development team that increased organizational business by 11%, and communication team that built an organizational communication structure impacting inter-departmental team communication and organizational morale.

• Product Owner for a team that created an internal pull communication system (including hyperlinks) to connect all departments to Organizational Process Assets and Enterprise Environmental Factors for internal analysis, reporting, and proposal writing.

• Prepared qualitative and quantitative analysis and internal project documents such as issue logs and lessons learned from post-event debriefs to aid in long-term and future project planning.

• Developed project and task scheduling for multiple departments. Key Accomplishments:

• Prepared the winning bid for Charging Station Design, resulting in the company being awarded Lead Engineering firm. The company led charging station development within 4 regions and 12 states for NextEra Energy performing the feasibility study, engineering, and design phases of these projects.

• Designed, developed, and implemented the firm’s Project Management Office. Created the policies, procedures, and best practices for multiple departments housed in the Organizational Process Assets Repository. This organizational improvement initiative streamlined the onboarding and training of employees in numerous departments, decreased training hours, and increased resource productivity while decreasing the overall organizational turnover rate.

• The program has continued for over 12 years with the graduation rate skyrocketing from 58% to 91% and impacting over 100,000 students.
