Responsibilities

Day by day routes were altered so I would have to adjust to an erratic work schedule, then complete daily pre trips for what ever tractor I was given for the day, then locate an empty trailer or proceed to the NDC (USPS mail distribution center) and hook up to the assigned loaded or unloaded trailer for the route I was given. Then complete the route schedule or the time sensitive delivery schedule. When the route was completed I would drop the trailer at the assigned location and proceed back to the company yard to fuel and post trip the tractor.

I completed on time mail routes and time sensitive routes.When I had hours available I would pick up reefer loads for the OTR drivers and return the trailers to the yard so they were ready to go out for delivery, or deliver reefer loads so the OTR drivers could get back on the road quicker. At the end of my day I would return to the terminal and drop the trailer in an assigned door, the fuel up and park the tractor, and then complete the post trip inspection, and turn in all my paperwork from the route.
