8/1998 to 10/2000 BEAL AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. – Frisco, Texas

Mechanical/Structural Designer

Support propulsion dept. with engine design/development of liquid propellant rocket engines for satellite launch vehicle. Provided layout and detail dwgs of fuel/ox manifold, thrust chamber with LITVC for 5000 lb. test stage 1 and 2 rocket engines. Supported director of propulsion and test operations, providing design, detail dwgs for thrust/force measuring device with load cells and flexures for stages 1 and 2 rocket engines at vertical and horizontal test stands at test facilities in McGregor, Texas. Complete liaison with outside vendor in manufacturing of structural steel and assembly of force measuring devices for stage 1 and stage 2 rocket engine test stands. Provided test site structural supports for fuel, peroxide and helium tanks. Designed, updated all test site fluid schematics, detailing piping, valves, storage and transfer of fluids to rocket engines during test. Maintained all fluid documentation for test site maintenance, safety and test procedures. All work using Autocad V14.

08/1988 to 03/1991 TEXAS INSTRUMENTS – Dallas, Texas

Mechanical/Electrical Designer

Integrated circuit / Semiconductor manufacturing machinery (silicon wafer/gas etch).

Manufacturing production environment, in which responsibilities included drafting/design support for machinists, assembly production team, field maintenance, purchasing and engineering teams. Redesign PAC150 wafer etch machine for cost reduction, ease of machine assembly in production line, providing detail dwgs, subassemblies of mechanical parts, PCB layouts, cable harnessing, wiring diagrams, and system schematics. Designed, documented electrical system for prototype PAC200 wafer etch machine, detailing all cable harnesses for production, installation into the machine, with system schematics. Built and installed all cable harnesses and wiring into prototype machine. All work using Autocad V12.
