• I make sure all the patients are checked in and check out.

• Verify insurance

• Prior authorization request for physical therapy

• Make charts

• Collect payments

• Work comp claims/ speaking with Adjusters/ sending the adjusters notes on the patient they are representing.

• Ordering for the office and supplies for the therapist.

• Do bank drops, cash and checks.

• Keep up with my bank draw, do money slips for the banks, keep logs of all payment’s via card, checks or cash.

• Order supplies for the therapy’s patients when they need certain type of medications through the hospitals pharmacy.

• Clean the lobby’s chairs where the patients sits and prep clean pens and dirty pens holder.

• Prep charts for the evaluations scheduled the following day along with set out all the returning patients to come each day.

• Lay all the chats out for the patients coming the following day in order from start time to end time.

• Schedule referrals for Orthopedic to physical therapy.

• Collect insurance information

• Scan, file, a lot of typing and using the Epic program.

• Microsoft word for labels for charts.

• Make flow sheets for each patients each month in Microsoft.

• Check the woekQue several times a day to to see if any new referrals were put in that need to be scheduled.

• Schedule car accident patients, collect the information on the car wreck, send info over to the registration team, they contact the patients adjuster and give me the okay to schedule or not. Medical Assistant
