Guided the newly-implemented schoolwide PRIDE program for grades 7-12, consisting of 30 minutes each school day, aimed at focusing on reading comprehension strategies; organized and distributed reading materials (using RL and RI standards) with teacher-friendly, easy to follow lesson plans for each respective grade level to use during PRIDE.
Administered SRI (Scholastic Reading Inventory) testing for grades 7-9 students to determine those students reading below/significantly below reading level (maintained Lexiles for all in SAM database).
Taught one grade 10 ELA class.
Performed various tasks relating to literacy when called upon by principal.
Tutored many students for ACT (English and reading portions).

Administered reading placement tests for students in grades 6-8 to determine wcpm (words correct per minute) and testing level, using Read Naturally, an on-line reading intervention program.
Systemized all students in Read Naturally after initial testing based upon homeroom teacher and grade level; maintained scores, progress monitoring etc.
Managed and participated in Read Naturally intervention for grades 6-8 held in ELA classrooms with ELA teachers and adult assistants designated by administration.
Maintained Read Naturally score report data for grades 6-8 students, sharing with grades 6-8 teachers and administration for review.
Kept in-person contact with grades 6-8 teachers to discuss student scores/correlation between scores and students’ reading difficulty/reading comprehension.
Periodically visited all grades 6-12 ELA classrooms at administrative directive; forwarded notes to administrators as directed.
Assisted new teachers with daily tasks.
Assisted/observed grade 6 ELA teacher having difficulty with classroom management due to several factors; assisted same grade 6 ELA teacher with steady implementation of Guidebook.

Maintained all beginning-of -year scores, progress monitoring, and end-of-year scores; frequently communicated/provided scores to kindergarten – grade 6 teachers throughout the year. (grades 7-8 not applicable all year)
Strategically placed all kindergarten – grade 6 students, after initial DIBELS beginning-of -year testing, into appropriate literacy intervention groups (utilizing all kindergarten – grade 6 teachers, literacy paras, SPED teachers, and classroom paras); reading intervention began at 8:15 daily and ended approximately ten minutes prior to school dismissal; reassigned grouping of respective students as their needs changed; literacy intervention program consisted of Read Naturally and Phonics Blast Foundations.
Closely guided the day to day operation of all literacy intervention groups.
Visited kindergarten –high school classrooms as needed and time permitted; worked with specific grade 3 students in small group setting, needing additional assistance with various reading/writing skills.
