RPM - Residential Pipeline Management - Unsecured consumer and commercial whole loans purchased by Credit Suisse from originators. Examples: retail, auto, student, solar loans, credit card receivables

Majority of loans are held in Credit Suisse inventory for eventual sale into securitization.

Some loans are held to maturity (short maturities such as credit card receivables)

The originators retain the servicing rights and continue servicing the loans. Collecting and passing on the borrower payments to CS for a servicing fee. The principal on loans much smaller amounts comparatively to mortgages. While we have the loans in inventory, we receive the cash flow i.e., interest and principal borrower payments from the servicer.

GE is a multi-product, diversified organization with about 40 different businesses.

ACS F&A Fort Myers is the centralized organization of GE Corporate for the Purchase Control system

and it does the payment for all the GE clients. Accounts Payable refers to the amount of money due

for purchased goods and services.

ACS controls the purchase and payment for the vendors, who supply goods to all these GE businesses.

ACS takes inputs from the clients regarding purchase orders and the goods receipt notes. The inputs

about the invoices are taken from the vendors. All these inputs cross verified, validated and

reported based on the results of the validation. Approved vouchers are paid based on the payment

date decided for the vouchers individually.

ACS avails discount, depending upon the profitability under the different discount schemes. Payment

priority is decided on each and every vendor. Accounts Payable system maintains the accounting

ledgers regarding the payments and money flow under the journalization process for the clients is

also done by AP system. Periodical posting and closing is done. This process updates the clients'

ledgers.

Many reports on the payments, rejected vouchers and validation errors are sent to the client. File

transfers are done from mainframe to the online reporting servers, servers of the clients, ledger

accounts (depending on which GE Business follow which ledger). Periodical processing like annual

reporting and back up, quarterly, monthly and weekly processing are done.

AP system has many interfaces and uses many techniques to obtain data and transmit. The inputs come

in the form of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), Oracle format created from Oracle, transmission

layouts etc. The payment is done by EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), Wire transfer and checks. It

has a client server interface called as RAPID and upcoming web enabled interface called as

E-Pay.
