Assist in patient care.

Perform Q-15-Q-30 checks on every client every 15-30 minutes to ensure client safety, and document per client while charting/documenting as each client holds a daily 24 hours (daily). Performs daily groups with clients in the form of an AA/NA meeting forum. Assist the clients in hourly smoke breaks.

Performs body searches during the intake process, and also as needed based on client actions throughout their stay at the hospital, during their treatment time with/at Genesis. Performs “bag”-luggage searches during the intake process to ensure all clothing, personal items, hygiene items brought into the hospital to ensure their safety, as well as the safety of the other clients/staff for their stay during the program as protocol allows.

Documents shift notes to be updated throughout the shift, sent to all Shoals Hospital, and Genesis Medical Detox staffing to document all activity during the Q-15/Q-30’s throughout the shift to update per each shift. Provides transportation to and/or from treatment as needed within a 3 hour window of distance if client doesn’t have any and/or adequate transportation.

Checks and maintains emails throughout the shift to ensure the communication between staff about clients to ensure all clients are being taken care of throughout the shift, and to ensure further care is being provided. Assist clients with suggestions for further treatment in regards to aftercare, and what they may look like as each clients aftercare is individualized. (inpatient/outpatient). Assist in deescalating non-compliant clients with company protocol. Assist the clients with family phone calls.

Assist the clients in making any phone calls to probation officers/parole officers, any upcoming and/or missed court dates.

Assist clients in any emotional, physical, mental difficulties they may be experiencing during their time here in which addiction has caused them.

Enforces “lights out” rules as protocol is listed per shift to ensure proper rest to be received during each shift. Enforces all rules and regulations as protocol has listed to ensure the safety and best interest of each and every client during their stay at Genesis Medical Detox.
