I work in a 25-bed general medical and surgical unit in a 118-bed capacity district hospital as a full-time nurse. Providing patient-centered care for a range of patients including surgical, medical, pediatric, orthopedic, urology, obstetric, and gynecological conditions. Key Responsibilities

Assess the care needs of patients, develop, implement plans of nursing care accordingly and evaluate patient progress.

Provide leadership for the nursing team in the unit.

Organize and manage nursing care on the ward, ensuring that nursing care is geared towards safety of the patient, respect for care users and preserving the dignity of people at all times.

Supervise nurses and other staff on the ward and assess their training needs and make recommendations for their training.

Monitoring patient’s vital signs including in BP monitoring, HR, RR, SpO2, blood glucose, temperature, etc. and providing appropriate intervention
