PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

12/2020 – PRESENT – 3PL MANAGER – VANGUARD LOGISTICS – CARTERET, NJ

Started as the OSD manager of 3 associates where I was responsible for the proper segregation, final counts and inspections of incoming shipments for distribution all over the US, Canada and Mexico. As a Logistics Managed I am responsible for maintaining 5 major Logistics accounts such as KN, CH Robinson, DSV, FedEx and CEVA. Frequent Interaction with customers to assist in the customs clearance, inspection, final delivery and any issues that may arise on imports into the US and Trans loads into Canada and Mexico. Frequent interaction with warehouse and Executive personnel to bring a resolution to all discrepancies. Negotiate rates for accessorials with customers. Provide numerous daily reports on shipment statuses to update customers and top management. Manage, train, lead, guide and motivate approximately 15 to 20 associates daily. Responsible for implementing corrective action and termination when required. Approve PTO and assist associates with personal issues related to job. Set up loading operations by forecasting and ensuring proper workforce and inspecting dock, trailers and ensure equipment is functioning properly to ensure efficiency. Ensure scanners are being utilized properly to make certain all information is entered correctly for internal and customer visibility into TMS system. Directed associates in the daily loading of approximately 20K packages on each 4 hour sort. Evaluate each package handler utilizing KPI metrics and report performance results. Amazon Fulfillment Center – EWR 7 & 8, Carteret, NJ Supervise warehouse associates, including motivating, coaching, training, and disciplining staff. Manage equipment, hardware and software plus coordinate all maintenance needs. Manage inventory control processes.
