March 2013 to January 2017 Thiels Home Solutions, Ashland, Ohio
Trade shows and events. Thiels specializes in kitchen cabinet refacing and bathrooms.
Upon leaving Pentair, I worked independently promoting and selling various products for
outdoor advertising. I also traveled a great deal as I considered myself as retired.
March 2002 to January2009, Pentair Corporation, Ashland, Ohio
Injection Molding Manager, I was responsible for managing the 24/7 molding division.
Reduced set-up time, delivery time, and material use by loading machines where like
resins were already running. Recommended and oversaw repairs to molds and secondary
fixtures to reduce scrap and labor. Worked with Engineering closely to design and re-
design parts for efficient mold and machine economies. I implemented a 5S way of life
with great results. planned and ordered all molding resins and supplies. I was
responsible for managing materials and supplies on hand.
September to March 2002 Wayne Homes, Jeromesville, Ohio New Home Sales and
Production Coordinator. I sold new homes and was responsible for assembling all the
necessary paperwork, drawings, approvals, and related vital documents for the final pre-
construction planning.
September 1998 to August 2001 Goodyear Tech Center, Akron, Ohio. Area Manager
Tire Assembly. I was Responsible for up to 56 workers in the preparation of rubber
Sub-assemblies used to manufacture racing tires. Duties included coordinating all labor
assignments, scheduling, employee records and time tickets, and maintaining a safe
workplace.
August 1997 to September 1998 Forest City Technologies Wellington, Ohio. I started in
the coating department and then transferred to the injection section at Plant #7. I did set-
up of the liquid injection molding machines and related make-ready for production.
In the 1980’s I was the Operations Manager for Fastway Fasteners in Lorain, Ohio. The
company manufactured both steel and plastic fasteners for the construction industry.
After graduating from Arizona State, I worked for Motorola Semiconductor in Phoenix,
Arizona. My initial job was supervising assembly of transistors and integrated circuits.
Later I earned a job in the training section of the Industrial Engineering Department and
assisted in training direct labor in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
