I review incoming work requests to determine if work can be accomplished under existing programmatic categorical exclu sions or if a stand-alone is required. When a stand-alone cat-x is required I coordinate with the various planners to obtain the full scope of work, compile the data with maps showing locations, fill out preliminary environmental data paperwork, and coordinate with the Base Environmental Office to review the requested project and start the NEPA process. Coordinating meetings with the various environmental branches (nepa, wildlife, archeologist, land management, water/waste water, air, and

compliance) to discuss the project and various options for achieving the project. Once project approval is completed, I discuss the environmental restrictions and requirements with the various FMD managers for coordinating and completing the work. The work is monitored throughout until completion and signoff. I monitor lead-based paint testing and inspection and asbestos testing for all facilities aboard base. I monitor the sewage collection system spill reports. I monitor and inspect grease traps and oil

water separators base wide at the various dining facilities or clubs, and motor transport units wash racks. I accompany various regulatory agencies (EPA, APCD, Water Board, OSHA, etc.) on inspections for the base representing the Facilities Maintenance Department.
