I am Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS). In addition I am Board Certified by the American Nursing Association (BC) which combines medical and mental health criteria for patient care. I have designed and implemented patient teaching literature on type two diabetes prevention. This teaching literature was implemented in 2012 and up-dated2017; the teaching tool was expanded for both ambulatory care setting and inpatient hospital setting. I have implemented infection precaution signs to alert patients, visitors and medical staff prior to entering infectious rooms. I also designed and implemented pre-operative nursing check list via the electronic medical record. In addition, I have earned a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration Heath Services Administration, which emphasizes disease prevention, evaluating health care trends using data analysis for both acute care and chronic health deviations.
My experiences consist of current medical and surgical nursing that includes orthopedic, pre and post-operative care a, rehabilitation and Telemetry Emergency room Observation. Fifth teen(15) months taking care of COVID 19 patients My duties include utilizing the nursing process of assessing, nursing diagnosis, interventions and evaluation of care. I collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapist, and other members of the medical team providing medical care. I am part of the discharge planning and I am responsible for admissions and discharge instructions and services the patient may need after discharge from the in-patient hospital setting.
