I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Laurie Rivera for a position as legal assistant with your organization. I have worked very closely with Ms. Rivera for over a decade while I was with my former law firm, Palmieri, Tyler, Wiener, Wilhelm & Waldron LLP, initially, as a mid-level litigation associate and, eventually, equity partner in the firm’s Real Estate and Business Litigation Department (with an emphasis on Eminent Domain, Inverse Condemnation and Related Land Use Litigation). Ms. Rivera was my legal assistant and, frankly, most trusted advisor, for probably half my legal career. She is an exceptional legal assistant with a significant amount of experience. I left the firm in the beginning of 2020, to start a new venture, and was heart-broken not to be able to take Ms. Rivera with me.

In the time Ms. Rivera worked for me, she established herself as an invaluable asset to my legal practice. She has a tremendous amount of energy, intellectual curiosity, incredibly strong work ethic, great organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. She is very knowledgeable regarding civil procedure requirements. Ms. Rivera also possesses a “take charge” attitude in managing my files and caseload in that she learned how to obtain necessary information to accomplish a given task, would follow through on information requests and problem solve, where needed, whether it be with dealing with filing requirements or service issues, court and/or department clerks and difficult clients or client requests. Ms. Rivera was also responsible for screening potential client calls, gathering essential information for my review and consideration, managing my calendar and generally managing the information flow on all my cases. Most importantly, Ms. Rivera is a very happy person and a joy to be around. My clients, retained consultants and expert witnesses often “sang” her praises to me. Page 2
