Professional Experience

Associated Ready Mix Concrete Inc. Akron, Ohio

Manager of Operations and Sales (3/2019 – 11/2022)

I was hired by Mike Carr, President of Carr Brothers Inc. to serve as manager of operations and sales at Associated Ready Mix Concrete in Akron Ohio. The location’s sales growth in my tenure was dramatic. The company added two new ready mix trucks each year for a sixty percent increase in fleet size to date. In 2021 I was charged with the duty to acquire quotes, build, and manage the construction of a new 8,000 square foot mechanics garage. The project came in well under budget and on time. Crucial in my duties to the company, I was in charge of procurement of truck, heavy equipment and plant maintenance needs to ensure that the delivery of concrete to our customers, was mixed properly and on time. I often got my hands dirty in order to keep our operation moving. The reality is simple. Associated had an overlapping of quality people at same level. Associated Ready Mix is in an improved positon in the Akron market and I am honored to have been involved.

The company, highly leveraged, survived when the 2007 recession hit North East Ohio. Target Trucking was involved in several high profile projects like Jacobs Field, Browns Stadium, Cleveland Clinic and National City Bank. In 2018 I sold the company for the right reasons.
