CAREER SYNOPSIS

L&T Technologies Services; Edison, NJ Sep 2019 – Sep 2020 and April 2021- Present HR Business Partner/ HR Specialist

(Laid off due to Covid impact on engineering clients and rehired)

● Primary point of contact on HR inquiries and issues for 500+ employees in the assigned Business Units in North America region including Canada and Mexico.

● Conduct regular HR connect sessions, In-person and Virtual, in groups and individually, with employees and Business Unit leaders like All Hands Meet. Travel up to 20%.

● Participate in periodic business planning and review cycles; act as the human capital expert to proactively work with Centre of Excellence to identify and deploy HR interventions to meet critical business requirements.

● Serve as subject-matter expert concerning HR requirements and regulations related to employment, compensation, and employee relations. Ensure employee concerns regarding career development, compensation, company policies and processes, and conflicts are tracked, monitored, and resolved within SLA.

● Design policies and execute new initiatives in HR and cultural development, deploy people development programs through IDP to serve the diverse workforce, and leverage necessary resources, tools, and techniques to achieve goals. Recommend specific employee groups with training programs as per need analysis and facilitating programs with the help of external and internal trainers.

● Partner with Centre of Excellence and Senior Business leaders to execute performance assessment & review, merit increase and pay raise, promotions, succession planning, development planning, acquisition, and mergers, change management, compensation analysis, drive Grievance Mechanism etc. Provides consultation to all levels of management to ensure that company goals are supported through company policies/procedures and other HR initiatives.

● Ensure that HR practices remain in compliance with federal, state, and local statutory employment laws and regulations. Representing the company on dealing with legal issues with employees.

● Handling Employee data with a high level of confidentiality and integrity, keeping the system updated on a real time basis to get access to most accurate data.

● Facilitate orientation with new hires and expats on a weekly basis across North America. Design and cultivate positive experiences at every step of the employee journey, building thoughtful practices that engage and retain incredible employees. Manage whole Separation process.

● Present dashboard on HR Metrics, Grievance mechanism, Attrition, I suggest, New Joiners feedback.

● Manage Employee Engagement and Rewards & Recognition program through various employee performance awards, engagement clubs, surveys and involving employees in the region to align with Company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) and Community involvement initiatives.

● Using Quarterly Attrition Analysis to work with Senior leadership for retention strategies. Monitor Attrition and drive Retention Planning by conducting exit interviews, proactively identify 'at risk' cases and create Individual/Group Retention plan for each BU. Reduced approx 4% attrition yearly.

● Created mechanisms to increase employee participation in Employee Satisfaction Surveys and measured the Employee Satisfaction Index. Responsible for preparation and timely closure of action plans based on survey results. Increased Employee Satisfaction Index by 8%, achieved highest No. in Retentions (including redeployment) and received Business Impact Award by CEO.

● Manage North America HR Award application process, coordinated HR Events and Award functions.

● Oversee the effective administration of all personnel leave (i.e. FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA, etc.) in accordance with federal, local and state law, and LTTS policy. Onboarding/HR Specialist (Contractor)

● Responsible for entire Offer process by conducting complete Background Verification process

(Background Check and Drug Screening) with Third Party Vendors to help Hiring Managers hire the right candidate for their direct/contract positions. It also includes running BGC/DT for contractors, converting into Full Time Employees and existing employees as per change in their projects. Compliant with their Contractual obligations at client’s site.

● Adjudicating cases, determining eligibility based on client’s MSA guidelines and TCS compliance.

● Interacted with various levels of candidates, existing employees and Hiring Managers to keep the BGC process smooth and credible along all verticals of organization. Maintaining confidentiality of candidate’s personal and sensitive information. Providing HR Compliance Letter for successful BGC completion and sending confidential written assessment to candidates who could not meet BGC standards.

● Helping International Transferred (existing) Employees to be complying with Immigration, legal formalities by regularly conducting Compliance drills with their Reporting Managers using TCS internal tools (RIGHTS).

● Analyzing MSA and setting up the correct Checklist for Background Screening, Drug Screening for existing and new hires for specific accounts.

● Accountable for all on boarding documents, new hire paperwork and personnel files (completed and hand signed) into the portal and approve them (italent). Keeping a copy for further e-verification.

● Responsible for end-to-end recruitment life cycle, posting job requirements on Job Portals daily, searching Internal Database for resumes, creating Search strings using Boolean Search to screen and qualify relevant candidates according to the Job Description. Sourcing candidates from referrals, Job Portals, LinkedIn and other professional networking sites.
