Due to my experience in roofing, construction and H.V.A.C I have acquired a lot of skills including electrical maintenance, and installation of gas lines and maintenance. I am very skilled in plumbing of fresh water and drains. Due to the experiences in those fields I have excellent problem solving skills in facility maintenance and operations. In the sheriff's office along with working in maintenance I was in a position to oversee other deputies and staff positions like housekeeping. I received a lot of management skills and team leadership skills as well as skills in dealing with aggressive and stressful situations from my work in the jail and the acute areas in the mental hospital. These situations have given me a lot of patients and reasoning skills in highly tense situations. I am very skilled on a computer from experience in the sheriff’s office in booking. I am very proficient in maintenance equipment management programs that observe and run operations of the facility. I am skilled and experienced in running equipment such as bobcats and front end loaders and landscaping maintenance equipment. I feel given my experience and knowledge of the facility I will be an excellent candidate for the Director position. I have already built a good relationship with nursing staff,supervisors and the mental health techs. I am well aware of the safety requirements to run the buildings. I am very familiar and proficient with the regional binders and the weekly monthly quarterly and annuals checks and inspections. I have a really good working relationship with all the vendors that we use regularly to ensure the facility keeps up to date and running as efficiently as possible. With my new training and certifications through the ICA program I am very prepared to give an accurite and dependable inspection.
