Stores/Tool Crib/Receiving Clerk

Elwood Staffing / Aersale

My responsibilities as a stores clerk are to properly stock bins with the correct hardware using RF scanners. I also assist mechanics at the store counter to search part numbers that they are asking for, pick the parts and other items they are requesting to complete their duties, and issue out the parts and other items to the aircraft's job card using a computer. My responsibilities as a tool crib clerk are to assist the mechanics that are searching for tooling to complete their jobs. I start by entering in the part number they provide into our search data base of our entire parts catalog via computer. From there I can find the location of the part and retrieve it. From there I issue out the tool or tools to the aircraft's job card using a computer. My responsibilities as a receiving clerk are to count the boxes and verify the count with the FedEx or UPS courier. I verify the parts that I receive using a computer to determine which parts were ordered for each aircraft by searching their purchase orders. Some parts wouldn't arrive with a purchase order. And those moments arose, it is my job to create a purchase order for those parts. After the parts have been verified and purchase order printed I pass those parts along to the inspection department. Production Operator

Cummins Fuel Systems

My responsibilities as a production operator at Cummins Fuel Systems was to prepare the fuel injector nozzle to its very first initial drill out. First was to check the tool life of the tools inside the Wasino lathe machine. Replace any tools that were about to time out. Also run a "rougher" check on the rougher tools of the lathe to insure they were still in spec. After the checks of the tools were complete we were instructed to place parts every few hours in the gaging machines to insure their quality throughout the shift. We had to change out the trays for the nozzles and replace them with more blank nozzles. We had a parts washer that we took our finished parts to so that they could be cleaned of the oil and any remaining slivers of metal that remained inside the nozzle. From the wash tank we would do a quality check of the parts to insure that the nozzle had been drilled entirely.

After the inspection was complete we would have forklift drivers take away the product to make room for more merchandise. My responsibilities as a stocker was to go upstairs on the top floor of a conveyor belt winded platform and fill boxes with stock for the order pickers. The items would be brought up the conveyor belt by order pickers. The items would be in a plastic tote and would kick off into designated locations via a scanned barcode. My responsibilities as a plastic injection molding operator was to follow the steps of the process for the particular job. Mostly it entailed cutting the plastic gates off the parts where the robotic arm would reach inside the opened mold and grab the freshly molded part. After cutting the gates of the part you would trim all pieces of flash off the part and hang the part on a cooling rack. After taking the parts off the cooling rack you would place the part inside of a clip machine that would attach clip to the base of the part. From there you place the finished part inside of a shipping container. Once the container was full you would place a barcode label on two sides of the container using a RF scanner. Also my job entailed setting out select finished parts containers to e staged for shipment to the customer. I had a order ticket that told me how many of each container to move into the staging area. We used RF scanners to label the containers for shipment for a particular customer. Once this is complete we can load the containers onto the trucks.

My responsibilities as a inventory coordinator was to do daily cycle counts of our inventory to ensure we would have plenty of finished parts on hand to meet our customers demands. Also I needed to make sure that we had enough concentrate of different colors (graphite, very dark pewter, etc.) for Education
