Design duties include physical layout of process & power pipe from P&IDS, equipment arrangements, stress and fabrication isometrics, spool drawings, composite drawings, location of pipe supports & detail drawings of same. Generation of P&IDs and one line diagrams. Layout of material handling equipment (conveyor belt & pneumatic systems). Designed double containment piping systems both high temp./press. & chemical transfer. Some experience with conduit & cable tray routing with supports. Drafting of land development maps (topo's, lot staking, underground utilities).

Field duties in new construction & existing plants include verification of piping systems or processes, pipe supports, & instrumentation loops, equipment location. Generated as built field sketches to facilitate retro-fit projects or plant expansions. Coordinated needed work completion of piping systems prior to pre-operational testing (start up) & client turnover.

Manufacturing design duties include general arrangements, sheet metal fabrication drawings for metal clad electrical control cabinets, instrument panels, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, & mechanical parts for emergency diesel generator sets.

Sales/application duties entailed sizing of blower & compressor packages from client specifications and generating sales quotations for competitive bid. Source out through manufacturer representatives, price and availability of required components. Maintain customer accounts & supplier files, perform follow up sales calls on submitted quotes, and worked industry trade shows.

Military duty entailed 4 years of naval experience as a steam propulsion operating engineer. (Machinist Mate 3rd class).

Projects: Responsible for the relocation and design layout of a glass component fabrication shop for the Savannah River National Laboratory, (SRNL). Presently working in the tritium area providing physical design support for existing production facilities.

Presently I have an ā€œLā€ clearance.

January 7, 2013 to October 26, 2015 (contract assignment)

Ford Bacon & Davis LLC, West Monroe, La.

Position: Lead Piping Designer for International Paper's Bogalusa Mill.

Projects: Responsible for the upgrade and the mill wide expansion of the natural gas

distribution system serving two power boilers, two recovery boilers and a lime kiln. Further

piping responsibility included the internal conversion of aforementioned boilers from burning fuel oil to natural gas. Other recovery boiler work, rebuilding the Green Liquor Density system.
