Leader Process Simulation and Flow Assurance Engineer Job Summary: The job responsibility included,

Process Simulation and Flow Assurance, execute the objective tasks and assist in finalizing and upgrade all Engineering company and consultants project outputs. Main projects:

AGIBA (MELIHA to WDGC Sales Gas New Export Pipeline): The joint operating Company AGIBA Petroleum intends to start production from discovered gas fields near Meleiha area. New gas treatment facility near by Meleiha existing plant. Export pipeline of 275 km to Western Desert Gas Treatment Plant. With potential production of around 150 MMSCFD of gas in order to reduce the gap between the current Egyptian supply and demand of natural gas and condensate. In order to achieve the production increase, the main concept considers that production from the new wells that will be conveyed to a new gas treatment plant near Meleiha existing oil plant and treated gas will be sent to WDGC through a stand-alone new export pipeline. Flow Assurance study on that Pipeline exporting the compressed Gas. PPC (Fuel Oil Heated in El-Reiswa, Abo-Sultan and New Export Pipelines): The Petroleum Pipeline Company intends to install Fuel Oil Pipeline from El-Reiswa area in Port-Said after Heating the Fuel Oil by Fired Heater then ship it to Abo-Sultan to be heated again through Fired Heater and ship it to Suez. Export pipelines of 180 km to Suez. With potential transporting of around 500 m /hr. of Fuel Oil, in order to reduce the FO viscosity from 380 cSt of the Fuel Oil supply. In order to achieve the flow criteria, the main considers a Process area, new export pipelines studied, and simulated in HYSYS.

ASORC (SALAM Cooling Water Intake and New Export Pipelines): ASORC - Asyut Oil Refining Co. aims for transferring Raw Water to the company facility, with additional branches feeding ANOPC Plant and ASORC Utilities, Thus, new HDPE Pipeline is proposed to be installed from SALLAM water intake area to deliver with lifting pumps for each consumer respectively. Total length is approximately 16 Km straight pipeline and then branched flow lines up to ANOPC Plant and ASORC.

ENTESSAR (NOW ALFARAGH)_SARIR PIPELINE HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS STUDY:

Demonstrate ENTESSAR / SARIR PIPELINE facilities for the proper and safe operation and control of the pipeline supplying the gas produced by ZOC to GECOL power station. Export pipeline of 225 MMSCFD to SARIR. The models done by OLGA flow assurance and reported with potential production and demand of natural gas and condensate. In order to achieve the production increase, Perform pigging for the gas pipeline (weekly) partly to avoid too much liquid accumulating in the pipeline, sweep away Condensate and partly to avoid stagnant pockets of condensate where scaling can take place. There is a concern that during pigging there is a possibility that a column of liquid will build up on the Pipeline resulting in a large backpressure.

Wet Gas New Export Pipeline Hydraulics:

The aim of this project is to develop piping models to analyse flow for the operating conditions and estimate the steady state characteristics for the pipeline connecting the offshore pipeline from the Christmas tree exit to the On Shore facilities. This new 10”, 12” and 16” multiphase pipeline, which will laid from the Offshore to the On-Shore Process facility taking the production. The pipeline profile includes low points (pockets), models done with OLGA flow assurance software and fluid composition file created by PVTSIM.

Flow Assurance for 12” Pipeline from BALSAM-1 manifold to EL-BASSANT-2 Manifold: WASCO is producing gas from Balsam field. The field production is passed through the El Wastani integrated gas plant, flow assurance study For 12 inch gas Pipeline from BALSAM-1 manifold to El- Bassant-2 Manifold to check the pipeline tendency to face slug flow regime at various operating flow rates and making sure that El-Bassant-2 facilities can handle the outlet slugs (if found). The objective of this report is to perform transient simulation for the mentioned pipelines with respect to the following:

Verify the pipeline size

Check the slug flow tendency at the mentioned flow rates.

Optional scope: Slug flow calculations including (slug volume, frequency, slug catcher sizing, slug catcher process data sheet, if needed)
