Training that I have had at DKP gastro I believe has taught me and gave qualifications such as using medical software to schedule both office visits and procedures. I do both call center and check in. I go over demographics, insurances, run insurance eligibilities, and make sure they’re active and in network. The software we work with is Gmed. With this program I am able to receive “task” which are messages from doctoc transcribed messages in which they are sent to call center. Whether it be a new pt scheduling which I would then call the pt. Go over demo and insurance and then schedule them with a provider they are requesting or if they would like anyone then I would do that and find the best apt time and date for their schedule. If the task is a procedure then I would have to ask prior questions such as; are you diabetic? Do you take any blood thinners? Have you any heart conditions or ever have already attack? Have you ever had a stroke? Do you suffer from COPD or asthma sleep apnea these are just some of the questions. I asked prior if all the questions are answered and they don’t have any fryer existing conditions then we go more in depth with medical history (pif) patient interview form. Pif cause over there current prescriptions, past procedures, immunizations, allergies, and past or present medical conditions as well as their occupation, number of children, if there’s any alcohol consumption and how much any drug use such as recreational, marijuana, cocaine, past, or current iv. After those questions, we then go over their family medical history. Once all those questions are answered, I get the height weight & bmi, scheduled the pt procedure if it’s a colonoscopy and then task the doctor for review. If the pt is 76+ or 44 and lower they just come in for an office visit. If the procedure is an endoscopy, they must come in for an office visit regardless. I also know how to use doctoc and sending the messages pts left and tasking them to call center

Or the doctor the message needs to go to. In call center, certain task card in my gmed account, I get messages in regards to patient having concerns which then I will task the doctor and let them know Word for Word with the patient has said, if the patient needs a prescription refill I will then also send a test to the doctor letting them know and asking them to please advise if they fill it and send it over. I can call the patient back and let them now I also do hospital referrals, every IHN referral sent over I called the patient, check to see if they are new or existing and if pt wants to schedule I then go over their demographics and insurance I can pull in inspira hospital records from Shine. With check in I do that as covering for Main front check in for her brakes and then from 230 till the end of the day at five. Check- in is great. I love greeting patients and having small talk as I confirm their information and make sure everything is current I scan in their ID and insurance card, run the eligibility and take co-pays. I make sure that I have a batch for each new day and at the end of the day I print out the next day’s patients list face sheets. I organize them with their matching med sheets that are already printed out. I go over my batch and make sure all my receipts match up as well. As counting the drawer. I take my batch money, put it in a bank envelope and the cash box lock it up and put the key away.
