Objective and Summary

Obtain a position within a company where I can become a valued member of a team, and experience growth and opportunity. My experience and skills are a combination of hands-on building working for general contractors, in combination with AutoCAD design. I am a self-starter, driven by my personal work ethics, but can use my strengths in a group atmosphere just as well.

Materials and Processes

Review a project’s scope of work to

determine all needed technical information for a given projects plan set. Following building codes in accordance with any building standards and local authorities for permit guidelines. Drafting all projects with clients and company standards incorporated into a given jobs plan set needs. During the design/drafting process utilizing project site plan Information. Including as-built plans, site measurements, pictures, sketches, materials and any additional notes regarding a project’s contract job scope. Differentiating as-built conditions from the new proposed work and incorporating any technical information needed. Maintaining communication with any persons involved with a given project. Keeping track of a project’s status and any needed plan revisions to meet deadlines.

Rapid Visualization

Basic visual 2D and 3D representation techniques. Basic forms, viewpoints, geometry, and rendering. Visual concepts for clear project designs.

Drafting/CAD Methods:

Collaborating with CAD files following company and client standards. From a project beginning, revisions and final plan sets Maintaining a streamline process using file structure, temples and existing CAD blocks for consistency and time. Managing new drawing files for projects set up with any available drawings. Architectural and engineer drawings files, backgrounds needing cleanup and plan revisions.

Saving drawing files with any building documents and information under project/job file structure within a given companies procedures. Following project changes to drawings and CAD files from engineers, contractors, and architects. Taking into account ongoing updates to technical information at any point within a project’s phase. Revisions to existing as-built plans which may affect pervious drawings, Xref’s/CAD files.

Creating drawings that clearly show needed information and removing or fading unneeded layers/parts. For instance, distinguishing areas of work and current conditions, with emphasis on work under future contract. Since drawings may show demo, relocated, existing and new construction within the same drawing. Utilizing layers for equipment placement, tags, numbering, and correct symbols.

Draft 3-D drawings using isometric views. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of building design codes for accurate Title 24 information.
