• To lead sustainable recovery efforts of all delinquent and a health Credit Portfolio of Letshego Rwanda PLC.

• To manage recovery actions on debts in accordance with the Credit Policy.

• To supervise and monitor the Performance of Recovery Officers and External Debt Collectors on achievement of targets on the Recovery Portfolio.

• To manage all auctions and make sure, all auction proceeds and costs are properly recorded.

• Engage with defaulting customers and reach a realistic and affordable repayment plans

• To share feedbacks from field (branches, Recovery Officers, Ex. Debt Collectors, customers) that can be used to improve recovery of delinquent loans.

• To develop and ensure implementation and compliance with loan policies, methodologies, manuals, procedures and good loan recovery policies

• To ensure Early Warning Signs of loan delinquency are properly and promptly managed at Branch level and that Branch Managers and Relationship Officers manage their portfolios

• To ensure Warning Letters and Permit to sale on Delinquent Loans are timely issued/applied

• To advise the Chief Risk Officer, Head of Financial Inclusion, Credit Manager and Branch Managers on Issues affecting recovery activities/process.

• To carry out KPA/KDs rating of all Recovery Officers and external Debt Collectors by June and December of each year.

• To supervise coaching and building of Recovery Staffs and Debt Collectors

• To organize training of Recovery Officers on recovery activities with the support of Chief Risk Officer.

• To Supervise Recovery Unit and manage relations with debt collectors and auctioneers in order to ensure the best legal coverage possible for all loans and best management

/recovery possible of defaulting loans.

• To contribute to the elaboration of the budget in terms of recovery activities and ensure that the performance of the bank in recovery of delinquent loans is in line with the budget in terms of recoveries, cost of recoveries against actual collections.

• Undertake area market analysis

• Develop a marketing and Savings Mobilization plan for the branch

• Implement the market and Savings Mobilization plan to bring on board new clients

• Develop strategies for growing customer numbers in the branch

• Develop and Implement the branch marketing plan to grow the number of savers and savings by broadening and deepening outreach.

• Optimize business through aggressive sales efforts resulting in quality growth of client relationships and accounts.

• Cross-sell both credit and savings products to all customers to expand relationships and to develop new business.

• Ensure proper loan appraisal procedures are in place across all branches.

• Track and analyse portfolio quality through the collection and verification of data.
