Work Experience

Apr 2021 - Sep 2021

College Hunks Moving, Boise,Idaho -Senior Captain

●As a move lead, my primary daily tasks included: loading the truck before a job, confirming all the details for the day, driving the trucks- including multiple 4+ hour drives, discussing paperwork with clients, lifting and carrying furniture and other household items, organizing/packing the truck, directing my wingmen, unloading, cleaning up & organizing used totes and supplies on the truck, and close up at the office. As an employee here, I also did all I could to make it easier on the company when others did not show up, or extra jobs were booked and an extra hand was needed. It was also essential to create a connection with the clients to ease their day and make a stressful situation into a fun, enjoyable, more secure experience.

●I am DOT certified, so I did multiple 20+ hour moves out of state, along with a flight to South Dakota to drive a truck back to Boise alone.

Dec 2020 - Apr 2021

The Mecca Gym, Meridian,Idaho -Front Desk, Childcare

●Making membership and product sales, keeping up with laundry, cleaning around the gym, assisting managers, restocking inventory, and other small jobs.

●I was also working in childcare most of the time, which is watching kids when they come in, playing games, and making sure they’re having fun for the time they’re in my care. This was my favorite part of the position, to get to know the regulars and build repertoire, play different games or do arts and crafts, and teach them new things when I could.

Sept 2020 - Nov 2020

Andrade’s, Boise,Idaho -Busser/Host

●Bussing at Andrade’s was taking chips and salsa to the tables, setting up the server/bussing station in the back, checking up on tables/refills, and bussing the tables after the guests left. We also had opening/ closing duties of cleaning the bathrooms, taking down the serving station, packing up extra food, cleaning the windows, mopping the floors, etc.

●Hosting was taking time to learn the tables/sections for the day, seating tables, taking reservations, and making sections for big parties.

April 2020 - Aug 2020

College Hunks Moving & Hauling Junk, Boise,Idaho -Lead Mover

●As a move lead, my primary daily tasks included: loading the truck before a job, confirming all the details for the day, driving the trucks- including multiple 4+ hour drives, discussing paperwork with clients, lifting and carrying furniture and other household items, organizing/packing the truck, directing my wingmen, unloading, cleaning up & organizing used totes and supplies on the truck, and close up at the office.

●Moves consist of full homes to apartments, junk removals, and move labors.

JAN 2020 - MAR 2020

The Gym Nest, Eagle, Idaho - Manager/ Gymnastics Instructor

●As Manager of The Gym Nest, I clean daily, run payments, work with parents to solve issues, and complete all the general business tasks that need to be done daily.

●However, the most exciting/ valuable part of this job is being able to teach the kids. I am in the process of implementing a new bi-weekly mindset mentoring plan where we emphasize the importance of specific values necessary to be successful, driven, and have a growth mindset. The plan is to teach 24 values bi-weekly throughout the year, and allow our students the opportunity to be rewarded for implementing these specific values during class time. They will be reiterated throughout the class, and again in a bi-weekly newsletter to parents. I believe these are things that should be taught daily, and emphasized as massively important. I have also worked to incorporate more exercise, specifically with our Advanced class and older, more experienced Girl’s Rec classes.

●Being a positive mindset advocate, I think it is more than essential to bring these specific, but not limited to, values to the awareness of the children. Especially for the older classes, we want to provide a judgement-free environment where these little individuals can learn to work-hard, have a desire to learn, release ego and judgement for others, while not being afraid to fail. I encourage our teachers to promote consistent listening to direction, courage & confidence, patience, honesty, optimism, dedication, and respect.
