Experienced, hardworking craftsman seeking a position in planning. Experience includes 7 plus years as a step-up mechanical planner and coordinator for Shell Convent Refinery. In addition, a 20 plus year background as a machinist and multiskilled craftsman has been acquired though employment with Shell, Turner, and various machine shops through my career. Proficient in computer software such as GSAP/SAP, Basic Excel, Word, Permit E-Vision, and Aim. Obtained additional skills in areas such as time management, supervision, communication, problem solving, and multitasking.

Work Experience

Multiskilled Craftsman/Mechanical Maintenance Planner/Maintenance Coordinator November 2009 – January 2024

Shell Oil - Convent Refinery.

Transferred to Norco toolroom when Convent closed.

Did Step-up planning on static equipment.

Non-routine maintenance mechanical coordinator.

Plan PM overhauls on rotating and reciprocating equipment including the drivers.

Review drawings and bill of materials as well as interface with engineering for up-grade information and work scope.

Walk down job and gather information to create the most efficient and safe plan for craftsman. Enter plan and documents into SAP to allow for craftsman to have clear understanding of task to be performed.

Order materials and services from multiple vendors. Communicate with vendors regarding products to obtain quotes, service dates, lead times, and ensure company specifications are followed.

Coordinate special assignments as needed such as specialty contractors and turnaround mechanical maintenance.

Maintain rotating and reciprocating equipment in the field and shop environment. Aligned equipment using laser alignment computer. Moved into a step-up planner role in 2014.

Mechanical Foreman Years 2005 - 2009

Turner Industries Group - Shell Convent Refinery

Lead a 6 -man crew maintaining mechanical equipment in the refinery.

Maintain rotating and reciprocating equipment in the field and shop environment. Aligned equipment using laser alignment computer.

Equipment includes compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, fans, clarifiers, cooling towers, and mixers.

Machinist Years 1983 - 2005

Various Machine Shops (Capital Manufacturing, Owens Illinois, Continental Precision Instruments)

There are many more shops in that time frame but those above are to name a few of them. Many have since closed.

Developed UL approved 2000-6000 psi pressure gauges for mini acetylene torches.

Specialty machinist for automatic screw machines.

Journeyman machinist on blow molding equipment and mold repair.
