Columbus Public Health/ Infectious Disease Specialist/ Contact tracer.

Contact tracer with the COVID-19 team for the (CDC) Center for Disease Control. They have provided customer service and assessment for clients by interviewing and counseling patients who tested positive for COVID-19. The assessor coordinated service showed empathy, excellent listening skills, and worked independently or within the team setting. They collaborated with the patient to determine their safety and level of care while having COVID. During the assessment, the staff observed symptoms of COVID-19, such as shortness of breath, chills, and loss of taste and smell. Safety assessment for patients to determine their level of care to determine if the medical team should be notified, or if hospitalization was needed. Comply with the rules and regulations as identified by the CDC and Columbus Health Department. Date hired: July 2018- August 2020: Reason for leaving: Layoff.

Whitehall City Schools: School Counselor/ Social Worker/ and classroom teacher.

Counselor and middle school teacher in the school system. Counselors for juveniles who attended the school dealt with various behaviors, truancy, drug and alcohol, poor academic achievement, and mental health conditions. Coordination of services within the school and community to have counseling with the students and parents. When necessary, made referrals to various community agencies for inpatient or outpatient services for families and children. Worked within the special needs unit with an interdisciplinary team. Attended IEP (Individual Education Plan) meetings identified goals and gave recommendations. Made home visits to assess the safety of the student’s home.
