*Charleston, SC, relocated BP Advanced Training facility, managed computer-related aspects of the Advanced Training Program startup process, on only 30-day notice. Coordinated and worked with OIT team to bring up systems and deploy desktops prior to students' arrival at two separate sites, employing Tl Communications/connectivity.

Air Commodities, Inc., is a large provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services and products serving the Pacific Northwest from main offices in Seattle, WA, Portland and Medford, OR. Designed, implemented, and managed a multi-platform Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Virtual Private Network (V P N) serving three different cities in the region. Managed and upgraded Novell servers, assessed, and replaced personal computers and network systems to ensure a reliable computing platform.

IT SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT: Solely designed, implemented, and managed a multi-platform LAN/WAN and V PN (using Novell, UNIX, and Windows NT) consisting of a three-city deployment for the HVAC product wholesaler. Rebuilt and upgraded UNIX server for Add+On accounting System. Upgraded servers, workstations,

operating systems, and (IPX) to Transmission (TCP/IP). Self-educated on VPN network utility and installation and created a VPN facility for secure communications.

PROBLEM SOLVING: Worked with vendor Novell / @ZENWorks to utilize self-correcting workstation software to reduce workstation repair and installation time. Installation time reduced from 4.5 hours to just 30 minutes. Reduced vendor billing errors by consolidating three Internet WAN vendor accounts into one, increasing bandwidth and resulting in a $3,000 reimbursement.

NETWORK MANAGEMENT: Performed upgrades for Novell NW4.11 to NW 5.1 for seven servers on WAN, Network Directory Services (NDS), TCP/IP, and Novell Distributed Print Services (NDPS). Installed redundant array of independent disks (RAID), hardware racks, Novell ZENWorks configuration management systems, and e-mail and fax servers.
