Assistant Machine Operator on (Laminator)

Started off as a Utility worker, then in December of 2022 they started training me as an Assistant Machine Operator on the ASI III (laminator) and gave me a raise. I help run machines, drive forklift trucks, load and unload products off semi, scan material in and out of inventory, fill orders, responsible for quality checks, filling out quality checks tests information sheets, etc.

I was hired through Elwood Staffing to work at Quanex Building Products as a production/assembly line worker. My responsibilities were the following (but not limited to): I worked at several different positions on different lines, but they were all the same as far as the beginning step to the final step of the assembly line. Therefore, I was responsible for inspecting each piece of material that I intended on placing onto the line. Another requirement of mine was assembling doorway thresholds. I also worked at what you would call the middle of the assembly line, which was called the Staplers. What I did there was the following (but not limited to): I ran a machine that taps all the pieces, before sending it to the next person in line of the production line to put rails on each. It was VERY important that I kept a very close eye on where each one of the 5 drills, (on my machine), is tapping each piece. I have to program different jobs for different orders, have to inspect all pieces before sending them down the line, etc.

Holiday Inn (I.H.G), - Housekeeper

Was responsible for cleaning rooms to get them ready for the next check in. Duties consisted of the following but not limited to: cleaning showers, toilets, sinks, counters, emptying all trash, sweeping & mopping floors, mirrors, refrigerators, windows, stripping all the dirty linen off and putting in fresh, vacuuming floors & stocking all necessities in room.

Greeting customers as they walked in the door, helping any customer that may need something, inventory of products, check vendors in/out, count cigarettes (individual packs & cartons!), count my drawer beginning and end of my shift, wait on customers as they come up to the fuel desk, answer the phone, set showers up for truckers, stock the cooler & shelves, etc.

I had five merch employees that worked in my department, responsibilities for this area is is following: training new employees, stocking shelves with Merchandise, walking aisles and doing "clean-up" making sure items were in right places, removing any and all trash, putting out all new merchandise, etc. Then for my Manager position my duties consisted of: unloading freight trucks, checking in vendors, organizing my storage room, filling any and all online orders, setting up the seasonal displays, etc. I was also responsible for running the entire store on top of all the above on a daily basis as well as: setting up drawers for each Cashier each shift, counting the safe before & after each shift, doing the end of day reports, beginning of day reports, running to bank to get change as well as bills for the safe, making deposits each day, etc.
