• Advise, support, direct and collaborate with the DDESS/DoDDS-Cuba Director, Deputy Director, District Superintendents, Principals and DDESS Division Chiefs to support the DoDEA Community Strategic Plan, Mission, and Goals

• Responsible for day-to-day oversight and operations of the Americas Region Office complex and worldwide data operations center for DoDEA which includes managing the GSA Lease agreement and supporting 140 employees.

• Interface and collaborate with DoDEA Headquarters staff and Pacific and Europe Area Offices to ensure system-wide accomplishment of goals and objectives.

• Supervise DDESS Area Division Chiefs and Area Director Office Staff

• Monitor DDESS Division budgets, operations, acquisition plans, procurement and Un-Funded Requirements and all procurement requirements for all educational and support programs

Collaborated with the DDESS Procurement Division to create the Advance Acquisition Plan model for annual purchase requirements and prioritization.

Prioritize spending and travel requirements based on mission essential needs

• Maintain effective communication with multiple audiences.

Collaborate and interface with all stakeholders to ensure effective and timely communication.

Implement pre-decisional involvement to ensure all communication is respectful and open between management and labor creating two-way communication and a positive workplace culture.

Keep Area Director informed and up to date on current and breaking issues that might affect the agency.

Review agenda items and provide info briefs to all questions brought for the Dependents Education Council Meetings annually.

Negotiate and collaborate in the creation of and implementation of Memorandums of Understanding, Standard Operating Procedures and official DDESS policy.

Consistently interface with stakeholders and superintendents to expediently resolve problems.

Maintain effective communication protocol with numerous stakeholders.

Communicate daily with the DDESS Director, Deputy Director, DDESS District Superintendents and area Division Chiefs to ensure the well-organized support of DDESS programs and employees.

Interface daily with DDESS Area Division Chiefs to problem-solve issues and complete projects

Conduct weekly, interactive and agenda driven Area Office Division Chiefs meetings with the review of data for all DDESS programs and projects to determine status and next steps as well as provide mission critical updates.

Represent the Area Director at a variety of area level and headquarters meetings and task group initiatives.

Attend and support the DDESS Area Director at quarterly Headquarters-DDESS Superintendents and the Bi-Weekly DDESS Superintendents’ Teleconferences

Respond to parent concerns and resolver issues elevated to DDESS Area level in a timely and positive manner.

Collaborate with Office of General Counsel on investigations, contracts, and Special Education issues.

Conducted and completed dozens of investigations as appointed Investigating Official acting on behalf of the DDESS Area Director

Interface with Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity (DMEO) and the Center for Early Dispute Resolution (CEDR) to support positive workplace culture.

Collaborate with Public Affairs on messaging regarding a variety of topics of critical interest to the agency.
